1. Prepare the overlay PC
Use Windows 10/11 x64 with a working graphics driver. Download nullcam.exe and run it. The .NET runtime and reader libraries are bundled and extract automatically on first launch.
Go to downloads →2. Check the reader setup
Connect compatible DMA reader hardware and install its USB driver. Use the application's USB driver setup menu for the official FTDI driver page. Only one application should use the reader at a time.
3. Configure camera occlusion
On the game PC, close Bodycam. Back up the following file and preserve all its other settings:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Bodycam\Saved\Config\Windows\Engine.iniAdd or update this entry under the existing [SystemSettings] section, then restart the game:
[SystemSettings]
r.CustomDepth=0This disables the custom-depth pass. Game effects that use it may change. Restore your backup to undo the setting.
4. Launch nullcam
- Start
nullcam.exeon the overlay PC and select your display. - Start Bodycam on the game PC.
- Choose Start overlay in the control panel.
- Press 9 to open the live visual settings.
Use the same control panel to stop the overlay. The current build does not require a license key.
Profiles and visibility
Tune drawing style, labels, distance, health, opacity, and player color in Visual settings. Changes save automatically. Camera data that is missing, stale, or unsupported is treated as unknown rather than visible.
Troubleshooting
The application won’t start +
Confirm you are using Windows x64 and a working graphics driver. Download a fresh copy and check its checksum. Use the application's Open logs menu to inspect startup errors.
The reader cannot connect +
Close any other application using the reader. Confirm your reader setup and the game PC memory map. Do not start a second reader instance while the overlay is connected.
Visibility stays unknown +
Confirm the game build matches the validated baseline and restart after changing Engine.ini. Unknown also means the reader cannot establish fresh supported camera data; it is not proof that an object is visible.
Known compatibility
The baseline was verified on 5 September 2026 against Bodycam build 25126576. That check does not guarantee compatibility with later game updates or different hardware.
